Floodline Multizone 8 Zone detection Cable

The unique “Multi-Zone” construction of this water sensitive cable allows up to eightseparately reporting detection zones of any length to be provided from ONE length of cable.

Applications

• in the voids below raised floors.above suspended ceilings.
• tie-wrapped to individual pipes.
• run in drip trays.
• laid around the base of plant, apparatus or tank.
• laid in loops or wave pattern for general monitoring of larger areas.
• no minimum or maximum zone length.

Detection
Senses water anywhere along its entire length. Positive leak location and identification. One detection cable “string” can be sub-divided into four or eight separately reporting detection zones using the special Junction Boxes (see separate sheet) at each zone change point.

Multiple re-use, dry and reset.

Easy to replace or splice-in new length if damaged or hopelessly contaminated.

Quick drying “Drip-Dry” or high sensitivity absorbent versions available.

No exposed metal conductors. High strength and abrasion resistance.

Approximately 7mm OD. Supplied in any length either

Floodline Multizone 8 Zone Cable pre-terminated
pre-connected at the factory or on a roll for cutting on site.

Connection directly into any Floodline Control or via multi-core Leader Cable. Special Junction Boxes connect Leader Cable to Detection Cable and are also used at zone-change points and at end of Detection Cable
“string”.

For fixing to floor or other surface, use standard 9mm “P” type clips or self-adhesive clips or tie-wraps. Detection Cable is laid loosely with special Caution Tags attached at regular intervals.

Standard PVC/PVC7/0.2 multi-core alarm/comms type cable or similar.

LSF or other light cables can be substituted if required. No screening required.
