Consciously dealing with energy and the environment

Consciously dealing with the environment, working on sustainability and corporate social sesponsibility (CSR) are the main reasons that all types of air curtains are supplied with energy saving regulations (smart air curtain) and are suitable for low water temperatures.

The three energy and environment consious versions:

Automatically controlled air curtains

The smart air curtain (standard version)
By connecting HVAC® air curtains on a door contact, the fan speed is switched to a lower speed when the door is closed.

When the door opens, the air curtain automatically switches to a high fan speed and provides the shielding needed at that time.

Detailed regulations
In addition to the standard regulations, there are detailed regulations available.

These regulatoins optimize the use of air curtains.
Featuers include:

  • Automatic operation in combination with a door contact and/or room thermostat
  • Summer/winter setting
  • Frost protections
  • Error messages
  • Filter monitoring
  • Timers
  • Etc.

Low temperature air curtains
More and more air curtains are used in low-temperature systems, such as district heating and heat pumps. HVAC® has developed a heat exchanger that is suitable for these low temperatures, whitout having to compromise on comfort.

EC fans
HVAC® air curtains are equipped with special DC fans, making the electric power decreases 20% to 75%.
The EC air curtains are mainly used for very heavy human traffic and longer opening hours.

The EC air curtains are applied at:

  • Hospitals
  • Airports
  • Shopping centres
  • Statons
  • Distribution centres
